Hey, everyone! The past few weeks, we talked about a lot of different aspects involved with turning 15 (family, responsibility, time management).
For me, the most important part of growing up is tradition. But tradition doesnt mean doing exactly what everyone in your family does. Tradition means, in my opinion, eating a specific food that you like every so often, or watching your favorite movie on Christmas Day, or doing one of your favorite hobbies during a certain time of the year.
I also think that traditions can be made whenever you want. They dont have to be done by your grandparents to be a tradition. For example, I love to go to my churchs October Fest, which is right before my birthday. We have been doing that for about five years. A new tradition I created is making breakfast for my family every Sunday. It makes me feel fulfilled to do things for my family.
All of this ties into your quinceañera. Tradition is what your 15th birthday party is all about. I know that the traditional meaning of quinceañera is bigger means better. But you dont have to spend all of your savings just to have a terrific 15th birthday. Now if you have the means, then go ahead. But just remember that you dont have to throw the house out of the window for a party. Happiness cannot be measured in dollars and cents. I hope that your party will be everything you want it to be!
