Meet Shelbie Bruce
Hi everyone! My name is Shelbie Bruce. You may know me from my role as “Cristina” in the movie Spanglish and from my perfume line, “Florecita Shelbie Bruce,” which you can find in Claire’s and soon at select Wal-Mart stores. I am a young Latina who will be taking you into My World as a soon-to-be 15-year-old. I was born in Brownsville Texas (Yee Ha!) on November 12, 1992. I am of Mexican-American decent, and I get the best of both worlds. Apart from being an actress, I am a normal girl. I have chores, I have homework, I go to church every Sunday, and I am following my dreams like every other kid.
Now that I’m tuning 15, there are going to be some big changes. The first, and most important, thing is that I’m starting high school. There are going to be more responsibilities and more peer pressure. And then there is the challenge of being right in the middle of becoming a young lady and still being a child. All of this and more is what makes us stronger. And that is what I am here to talk about.
So I invite you to join me in not only my adventure, but OUR adventure. After all, I’m not the only one turning 15 this year. I want to hear your thoughts on getting a year older. This way, we can walk the road together!!
