My mother gave me 200 invitations for my friends and family. I told her, \"Mom, I don\'t want to leave anybody out! I need 1,000 invitations.\" LOL! I had over 1,000 guests. The capacity was 1,500 and the fire marshall wasn\'t letting anyone else in. My advice: Invite all your friends and have your mother invite the relatives, so you don\'t forget anyone.

I didn\'t want to set peanuts and mints on the tables, which is traditional. Instead, I had a candy buffet and chose zebra-print dishes and a variety of red candies to match my theme.
