Glam Waves

How-To:

Step One: Apply a volumizing mousse, like Matrix Amplify Foam Volumizer, $15, to towel-dried hair, massaging it into your roots for lift. As you blow dry your hair, style with a round brush to make it sleek and bouncy.

Step Two: Working with one-inch sections, mist your hair from the roots to the ends with a heat protectant, then wrap the section around a large-barrel curling iron and hold for 10 seconds; gently slip the iron out to leave a soft curl. Try Pantene Pro-V Hair Heat Protection & Shine Spray, $6.

Step Three: Flip your head over and lightly tousle the curls to loosen them.

Femme Floral

How-To:

Decorate your nails with dainty blossoms! Paint them red (we love Chanel Nail Colour in Dragon, $26!) and apply two crystal gems to each with nail glue. To form flowers, draw petals around each of the gems with a white nail-art pen. Try Cina Nail Art Pen in White, $8, for the petals, and Broadway Nails Fashion Diva Deluxe Nail and Body Art Kit, $6, for the gems.

Faux Bob

Relax! This only looks complicated. A girly yet sophisticated faux bob is actually totally simple to create. Follow these steps:

1. Curl
Create voluminous, bouncy curls by coiling small sections of your hair around a 1"-wide curling iron. Part your hair to the side first, and hold the iron vertically as you go — this will form tight, springy curls.

2. Brush
To soften your curls, gently brush them out with a boar-bristle (like Denman Medium Grooming Brush, $20) brush — it grips your hair just enough so you don't lose the curl. Secure the bottom three inches in a low pony.

3. Pin
Fold your ponytail under to create the illusion of a bob, hiding your elastic beneath your hair. Use bobby pins to secure it against the nape of your neck. For a little sparkle, add a pretty hair pin just above your ear.
